Sea Houses
These“Sea House” paintings explore the forest environments and structures found on islands of Penobscot Bay, Maine. I am drawn to these cottages and boat houses, that over time, become part of nature. With this series of paintings, I investigate the idea of home as a container for our hopes and dreams. The iconic geometric structure of a simple house becomes a safe place of respite and growth.
