Phoenix & the Sea House
The "Sea House & the Phoenix" series explores fire as a purifier and synthesizer of creative energy. The Phoenix symbolizes transformation—fire burning away stagnant energy to revitalize the landscape and foster new life.
In these works, I gradually build up the surface with thin glazes of paint, uncovering underlying layers, states of being, and facets of memory. Flames clear away the present, revealing evolving landscapes where hidden memories and future dreams reside.
